Kuokoa Farm Brochure
The Challenge
As a budding aquaponics company based in Hawaii, Kuokoa Farm wanted marketing materials that would help establish them within their community. They requested a brochure that would be appropriate for farmer’s market customers, as well as potential restaurant partners.
The Brochure
As a freelance creative, I researched, wrote copy, and designed a brochure according to the client’s expressed desires and goals. The copy and visuals emphasize a dedication to quality, sustainability, and community.
Brochure Text:
KUOKOA FARM
LOCAL, ORGANIC PRODUCE GROWN WITH AUQAPONICS.
Brought to you by Hawaii Green Energy Construction & Consulting.
WHERE IN THE WORLD DOES YOUR FOOD COME FROM?
Hawaii imported nearly 90% of its food in 2015. Because of this reliance on imports, the food we receive is of lesser quality and is at higher risk of contamination.
At Kuokoa Farm, we have made it our mission to secure a more safe and self-sufficient future for Hawaii. Through the use of sustainable aquaponic technology, we provide locally grown, organic produce here on Oahu. No middlemen, no ships, no worries.

Food with a Focus…
On Quality.
Our aquaponics systems ensure all of our produce is organic. We not use any pesticides, as it would cause harm to our fish and disrupt the system. Unlike imported produce, which is at higher risk of being contaminated during handling, our locally grown produce is only handled by one party - ensuring the highest standard of safety and quality.
On Sustainability.
Our Systems are designed to minimize environmental impact. Our aquaponic technology conserves both water and land compared to traditional farms. Our farm is also powered exclusively by solar energy.
On Hawaii.
Our aquaponics farm rehabilitates non-performing agricultural land, making the land productive again. We believe that by using the best sustainable farming practices, we can grow Hawaii agriculture towards self-sufficiency once again.
