Adwave Recruitment Campaign

President | Adwave at UCSD (American Advertising Federation) | 2018-2019

The Challenge

Unsatisfied with Adwave’s lack of presence on the UC San Diego campus, I wanted to expand the reach of my organization through a complete rebranding and recruitment campaign. My short-term goals were to improve brand awareness, increase online engagements, and grow the organization’s applicant pool.

The Campaign

We rebuilt our brand to have a more distinctive style and tone, with the goal of being modern, engaging, and approachable. Our creative executions focused on Adwave’s unique ability to provide real-world experience to aspiring marketing professionals. Our campaign primarily utilized print ads, organic Facebook posts, and on-campus events to maximize exposure with our limited budget and tight timeline.

My Role

Working within a tight timeline, my board and I planned and executed this campaign in just one month. As President, I focused on overseeing design, copywriting, strategy, and budgeting, as well as public speaking and event planning for the recruitment seminars.

The Results

Through our rebranding and recruitment campaign, we achieved the following results:

  • Doubled the reach on our Facebook page

  • Doubled our website traffic

  • Increased engagement across our Facebook posts

  • Increased our pool of qualified applicants by 30% compared to the previous year
